This is a story of not how unfair life is, but how a young man can touch a whole nation and how people from across all facets of life can come together in unity, driven by nothing but love and compassion for someone in need. This is the story of Bo Johnson, who has quickly become my hero. Read this article and join everyone in supporting this young man who in the face of adversity is showing us what strength and courage is really about. Well its now under a month until our October trip and I’ll tell you, this is one I really need. We might just miss the “change” but in the end it just doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that we are coming to Door County, that is what matters most. Well I have to get some sleep, so take care and talk to you soon.

Well the season is once again changing. The long hot, hectic summer will be done in a few days and fall will be here. The cool crisp days the cold fresh nights, the smell of warm fires, dry leaves, the cries of migrating geese and cranes as they head to a warmer climate. Oaks, elms and maples ablaze in their finest colors, farmers harvesting their crops and making ready for the winter. This is truly a time to sit back, take a moment and let our minds wonder to a simpler  time, a time when we weren’t so hurried and the only deadline was when to end one day to dream of what tomorrow would bring. This is the time of year I feel most alive, rejuvenated and a bit younger, a time when all the responsibilities are just a little lighter, a time when I smile a little more, a time when I walk a little slower, a time, well I think you get the idea. I hope with the change of seasons you too can feel a little younger, a little more at ease and maybe just enjoy life a little more than normal. See you soon…

One More Day to Go

Its overcast and a little rainy here today, but that’s ok its nice and cool. One more day to the weekend and that much closer to the October trip. Had a scare last night, I saw on facebook what I thought was a post that the Wild Tomato was closed and my heart sank, but they posted later the back take-out portion of the restaurant was closed. If you have never had a Wild Tomato pizza you have never had pizza (my wife is Sicilian) and makes unbelievable home made pizza, but even by her admission the Wild Tomato is the best. Well have a great rest of the day and see ya soon.

Getting hot again

It’s going to be hot for a few days, I’m thinking that this will be the tail end of the warm weather. Can’t wait for the nice cool weather with the smell of fall in the air. Have a good day and talk to you soon.

Well its close enough to the weekend to say TGIF…Hope everyone had a great week, got some work done, had quality time with your family and friends and are ready for the weekend.
