Well 1 more excruciating day to go and we’re on vacation. Can’t wait doesn’t even begin to describe it. This is what is predicted for the weather but remembering my old saying of “A bad day in Door County is better than a good day anywhere else ” I guess the rain doesn’t matter.

Have an awesome time! We just got back from Door County – we stayed in Kiel Wisconsin and visited Wood Orchard, DC Coffee & Tea, Donny’s Glidden Lodge Restaurant and a few other places.

We used to stay at Bay Shore Inn in Sturgeon Bay, until we got our 3 small pups. They don’t accept pets…so we looked elsewhere. We’ve stayed in a couple of houses in Door County – one of which we would have gone back to but is now not a rental property anymore. 😦 So, we look elsewhere for a vacation home and make a day trip to DC. I am originally from Milwaukee and have lived in Michigan a bit over 7 years. My grown son and his wife are in Pewaukee…so we try to get a place someplace between Pewaukee and Door County. We’ve had alot of success doing that. And we enjoy staying in a private home, rather than a condo. Either way, we go to DC 2 times a year – spring and fall!!!
